Ego Type West is a self-initiated project and book that visually captures society‘s constant craving for attention, showcasing the art of typography through a contemporary pop culture phenomenon. Confrontation through Provocation. What constitutes a contemporary recipe for success in a world where the ebb and flow of attention determine the course? The proliferation of nonsensical content has reached an un precedented scale, shaping the prevailing spirit of our digital society.

The internet and its polarizing figures contribute to the inception, growth, and triumph of various forms of media. Through a powerful stimulus, abstract concepts are propelled onto the stage of attention, seeking to bask in the limelight and reap the fruits of fame. To stand out from the crowd requires more than just audacity; akin to the messages conveyed, the presenter must exude self-confidence while simultaneously averting the danger of overestimation. In direct alignment with these conceptual insights, a book emerges that teaches the challenge of designing an experimental typeface.
